Bristol Hotel Bad Kissingen, Bad Kissingen

The hotel overlooks the charming spa resort and offers a great breakfast; however, the parking can be overpriced. The rooms are nice and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the river Saale, although they appear a bit outdated. The service is friendly but speaking only German except at the reception, and there might be an issue with being understaffed. The location is excellent for walking into town, close to the town center but could be better looked after. The facilities are well-maintained, and the hotel has steadily increasing prices.

The hotel offers comfortable rooms, including spacious king-size beds at no extra charge. Although there was a slight smell of cigarette smoke, the overall stay was pleasant. The staff is actively renovating the property to enhance its beauty. Service was exemplary, with accommodating staff willing to serve snacks and drinks even during off-hours. The location provides easy access to nearby attractions on foot, with a quiet atmosphere. Just across the bridge from Altstadt, the hotel is conveniently situated for exploring the area.

Upon arrival at the hotel, the room was not ready at 3 pm, but once settled in, it was very comfortable for our party of 5. However, the initial cold temperature was off-putting, and it took a while for the heating to reach a satisfactory level. The staff were incredibly helpful with everything we needed, even offering us discounted tickets to KisSalis Terme. Yet, it was noticeable that they were understaffed and lacked a hospitality touch, mainly communicating in German exclusively. The location was superb, allowing us to easily explore on foot after enjoying the INCREDIBLE breakfast served at Bristol. The dining experience was a highlight, with a variety of hot and cold foods that made breakfast the best part of our stay. We did not try other dining options due to the ambiance of empty restaurants. The facilities, though decent, had room for improvement. Despite some minor flaws, the hotel provided great value for money overall.
